DEWN

After the 2004 Indian ocean tsunami, Microimage together with Dialog Axiata conceptualized and built world’s first GSMA based emergency warning network solution. This solution was engineered by Microimage engineering team as a volunteer project where it was deployed to be used by Disaster Management Center of Government of Sri Lanka back in 2009. Today, DEWN – Disaster & Emergency Warning Network Solution is the primary emergency warning solution used by DMC – Government of Sri Lanka.

Equal Access to
Digital Technology & Education for underprivileged schools

Microimage was formed by a group of like-minded high school students in a computer lab. 25 years ago, we were privileged to have access to computers. Even after 25 years there are schools without access to computers/internet. We believe it’s an equal right for all school children to have access to digital technology & education.
